Obama – Pencil

I did this illustration before Obama was elected in 2008. I love pencil and eraser and smudgers, using different types of pencil to accomplish depth and expression. I've since done several series of drawings in pencil, and love it's versatility. Using light and dark strokes you can accomplish a depth that literally makes an image jump off the page.
