Indian Boy Face – Photoshop and Illustrator

In this recent assignment in a multimedia class, we were asked to use Illustrator to live trace a hand drawn illustration, place it on a transparent layer in Photoshop, and color it using brushes to accomplish depth and texture. The story behind this image is an original illustration I began long ago of the indian boy hunter, with his emphasized war paint and a subtle reflection of a bison in the iris of his eye.
